After healing from one knee injury (right) now I have another (left). It's been so long now since I've run consistently,I'm wondering if I'll ever be the same. I know it's only been a couple months for me, but I'm really feeling my homie Eric Jensen's pain right now. How long has it been for you Eric? Every time I want to feel sorry for myself,I think of you.
So for now I just think about where I really want to get some day. The Barkley Marathons! Baby steps.
Here's a list of goals, hopefully I can accomplish a few of them.
1. Get healed up and healthy.
2. Enjoy every second God gives me the ability to run.
3. Train with a fire inside me that can't be put out.
4. When I get to race again, don't race like a CANDY ASS

You'll get it back my man and so will I. My last run was the Eugene Marathon, May 1rst, and I have been shut down ever since. I've stayed true to my plan of strengthing every thing I can while resting the Achilles and I think it's paying dividends... I have just, this week, stepped onto the treadmill, and while my legs feel like soggy logs, I am pain free in the Achilles area. Any lengthy downtime just sucks, but I guess we can look to the future. Some can't do that... Here's to meeting OUR goals in 2012 and not running like a babbling candy ass.
Everything happens for a reason, but sometimes it still sucks. Keep your positive attitude and figure out how/why it will make you better.
Get 1 and 2 taken care of and the rest just falls into place.
Eric, I'm glad to hear your long wait is almost over.
Joe, thanks for the comment. I'm a firm believer in things happen for a reason. Hope you're doing well, buddy.
You'll be back to telling punk bitches what's up in no time...
